Global Certificate of Qualification Applications
Upon completion, ALL STUDENTS may apply for a Certificate of Qualification
The Certificate of Qualification, which was developed collaboratively by The College of New Jersey School of Education and the Office of Graduate Off-Site Programs is issued to both U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens who are living abroad. The CQ verifies completion of a teaching certificate that allows candidates to teach within the International School community (outside of the U.S.).
- Apply for graduation/program completion through PAWS
- All documents must be complete and uploaded to the portal at the same time
- All program completers who apply will receive a Certificate of Qualification
- U.S. Citizens can also apply for a Certificate of Eligibility directly through the NJDOE
US Citizens in the Certificate programs below are eligible to apply for their CE directly with the New Jersey Department of Education.

Upload Any Program Specific Documentation (e.g. OPI, SLPI, work experience letter)
GLOBAL Portal to Submit Completed Documents
The application process takes approximately 6 weeks after your degree is posted on your transcript
All CQ certificates will be mailed directly from TCNJ
